Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” Happy New Year!
As we look ahead to the future, we are reminded of the importance of cherishing the present. And, as we begin this new year, today’s scripture from Ecclesiastes 3:11 provides us with the perfect reminder of just that.
God has made everything beautiful in its time — what a powerful reminder that He is the one who holds all of us and all of our plans in His hands.
As we move into this new year, we must remember that no matter what we have planned for ourselves or for our lives, we must leave it all in God’s hands.
We are reminded of the importance of cherishing each and every day. We must live in the present and trust that God will carry us through each moment.
The apostle Paul says this in Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
God has set eternity in our hearts — He has given us a longing for something more. We can trust that He will fulfill our needs and desires as we move into this new year. We can look ahead with hope and excitement, knowing that God will lead us through whatever comes our way.
The Lord has a purpose for our lives and His plan for us is greater than anything we could ever imagine. As we embark on this new year, let us be reminded that God’s plans are far greater than our own.
We can trust Him to provide us with peace and guidance as we move through each day.
As we enter this new year, let us remember to cherish each moment and leave it all in God’s hands. Let us look ahead with hope and trusting that our Father will lead us through whatever comes our way.
Let us pray. Lord, we thank you for the new year and for the many blessings you have given us. We put all of our plans and desires into your hands and ask that you lead us through whatever comes our way. Give us peace and guidance as we move into this new year.
