Jesus’s death on the cross is an ultimate sacrifice that secured our freedom by overcoming death to eternity, Pastor Simba Nyadzo, Senior Pastor at Prophetic Generation International Ministries, has said during a Good Friday service.
“Jesus died on the cross so that we can be free today. He overcame death so that we might have eternal life. His blood was shed on the cross so that we can live in victory, having confidence that when He said ‘It is finished,’ it means we no longer have to struggle because He has won the battle for us,” said Pastor Nyadzo
“As children of God, we stand confident in His redemption. Jesus was bruised for our sins, enduring suffering to set us free. Through His sacrifice, we’ve been redeemed from sin’s grasp, empowered to live victorious lives.
“All we need to do is be confident and take our position as His children,” Pastor Nyadzo said. “The Word of God says he was bruised for our iniquities; He went through all that so we could be free and redeemed from sin.”
When we grasp the depth of Jesus’ sacrifice, we live each day as conquerors, unstoppable and unshaken. Pastor Nyadzo emphasized, “When we understand the power of what Jesus did, we live every day knowing we are more than conquerors. There is no situation, no challenge that can ever overpower us because Jesus has already paid the price for our victory.”
Meanwhile, he said, Jesus’ blood brings healing and victory, speaking a better message than Abel’s blood, and empowering us to live above every affliction.
