Good morning, and welcome to our Friday morning devotion. Today, we will be talking about how we can be filled up with the Holy Spirit.
We all have days when we feel like we’re running on empty. We feel overwhelmed and exhausted. It’s during these times that we need to be filled up with the Holy Spirit.

The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit is like a fire that burns within us and gives us life.
In Luke 24:49, Jesus tells the disciples to stay in Jerusalem until they receive the promised gift of the Holy Spirit. And in Acts 2:4, we read that the Holy Spirit filled the disciples with power and they began to speak in other languages.
We can also see examples of this in our lives today. When we open ourselves to the Holy Spirit, we can receive a powerful experience of God’s presence. So how can we be filled up with the Holy Spirit today?
Here are three practical steps:
First, pray for guidance and strength. In Romans 8:26-27, we read that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. Ask God to fill you with His spirit and to give you the strength and courage to face whatever challenges lie ahead.
Second, spend time in worship and reflection. Psalm 63:3-5 says that God’s love is better than life, and we should spend time meditating on His goodness. When we take time to focus on God’s love, we can be filled up with His presence.
Third, serve others in love. Galatians 5:13-15 tells us to use our freedom to serve others in love. When we put our focus on serving others, we can be filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit.
Our prayer for us today is that the Holy Spirit would fill us up and give us the strength and courage to face whatever lies ahead. May we all be filled with His presence today and every day.
