Apostle Michael Mauramba of Grace of God International Ministries (GGIM) has warned other men of God not to abuse the work of God for their own benefit saying that such practices tarnish the image of the body of Christ and causes believers to suffer in order for them to meet unjustified financial demands by their leaders.

He said this at a big Sunday service held in Glenorah A, Harare under the theme “Let’s go back to the village”, a prophetic and deliverance service which was organised to set people free from demonic powers and spirits that haunt people’s lives from their villages and clans.
“It is worrisome that some men of God are abusing their offices in the name of giving. I want to challenge them that if they want good things they should be working with their hands not to earn a living from the pulpit. Stick to preaching the word of God, demanding money from church members is troubling the sheep,” he said
Apostle Mauramba further bemoaned the deterioration of God’s presence in the body of Christ nowadays revealing that the situation is being caused by some men of God who are greedy for fame hence using charms to pull the crowd and to perform strange miracles.
He also encouraged people to have the spirit of discernment before falling victims to such denominations who are not after soul winning and the salvation of people.
“The body of Christ nowadays has become weak because of people who are diluting the things of God. Some of the leaders are trying to use charms for them to have power and to have more people in their churches yet there is no presence of God. As believers we should open our eyes and discern whether it is coming from God or not, we can only be able to do this if we know the truth by reading the word of God and prayer,” he added
Some of the attendees including Justice Masocha who shared their sentiments after the church service said “The service was very powerful and the anointing was too much. I am believing God that my life will never be the same after this service. Honestly l had a powerful encounter with God through the word he spoke through his servant Apostle Michael Mauramba, through the teaching l learned that we cannot say we love if our love remains in words not in action and that the best way of demonstrating love is through giving, it is by giving that we express love in its depth,” he said
“The word today was life transforming and helpful especially in this season when false prophets and doctrines are erupting. I have been awakened of my conscience to be aware of false doctrines. Sometimes we believe every doctrine not knowing that there are some things which we should be aware of before accepting everything like today we were taught that we should check the character and the lifestyle of these men of God whether if they resemble the lifestyle of Christ,” she said

The main message of the service was drawn from 2 Kings 3:26 with a strong urge for believers to prioritise the power of sacrificial giving which has been believed to be powerful in breaking protocols that could have been made against people’s lives in the kingdom of darkness.
