Drawing inspiration from Ezekiel 36:26-27, Pastor Tavonga emphasised the necessity of a renewed heart and spirit as individuals progress in their spiritual journey.
He cautioned against the notion that every new level attracts a new devil, arguing instead that the focus should be on developing the character needed to navigate the challenges and responsibilities of elevated positions.
“Many times, we find ourselves asking for blessings and advancements without considering whether we have the capacity to bear the weight they carry,” Pastor Tavonga remarked during his sermon.
“True greatness requires humility, grace, and a willingness to serve others.”
He stressed the importance of humility in sustaining growth, highlighting the need to approach opportunities for elevation with grace and integrity.
According to Pastor Tavonga, the ability to stand before those who have the power to elevate individuals can be the deciding factor between stagnation and progression.
“When God elevates individuals, He also enlarges their hearts to accommodate the responsibilities and challenges of the next level,” Pastor Tavonga explained.
“This transformation often involves a process of breaking and remoulding, preparing us for the blessings God has in store.”
He urged his followers to allow God to shape and mould them, recognizing that preparation is essential for receiving the blessings they seek.
Only through a renewed heart can God pour out His Spirit in greater measures and dimensions, he emphasised.
