The Salvation Army’s Territorial Competitions, originally slated for May 24th to 26th, 2024, in Gweru, have been postponed, Assistant Secretary for Program Lt. Colonel Jesline Sithole announced today.
The decision to reschedule the event came in response to concerns raised by Salvationists regarding its proximity to the Territorial Self-Denial Appeal Ingathering in Gwanda, Semukwe Division.

In a circular addressed to all Divisional Commanders, District Leaders, and Music Council members, Lt. Colonel Sithole conveyed the news, stating that the Planning Committee, set to convene on Thursday, would deliberate on the new competition dates.
The postponement brings relief to many Salvationists who had expressed worries about managing commitments between the competitions and the impending Territorial Self-Denial Appeal Ingathering.
With the events now scheduled to occur on separate dates, Salvationists can better coordinate their participation, ensuring maximum engagement and support within the Salvation Army community.
