Youths and young adults were empowered on having an understanding on how they can draw closer to God, having a relationship with God, hearing the voice of Christ because most people do not know how they can connect with God and that their lives can change through being closer to God said Uratile Nare, the founder of Rooted in Grace Youth ministry.
‘’How Can I Hear the Voice of Christ Event, was meant to empower young people on how they can pray, overcome life with prayer and how they should live holy habits. Rooted in Grace movement is a spirit led and it is my desire to practice evangelism to the community, preaching the word, worshipping and praising God’s name and bringing people closer to God targeting the youths and young adults between 19-35 years.
‘’Targeting the young and young adults is my priority because that is the phase where one is growing up, trying to figure out life so your relationship with God is very important because you have to be strong in prayer to overcome so many things. Praising God in good times and standing by him in bad times. I wanted to be the voice to help others understand how they should manage life by putting Christ in the middle and having a Christ-centered relationship,’’ said Nare.
The event was graced by Maxine Adam speaking on prayer; as a journey of desire, Emelda Vhiriri on overcoming life with prayer, Pastor Tynoe Kaitano on holy habits, Evermore Kangani on the power of prayer and Shyanne Eden on deliverance in which they helped people to grow in faith and spirit.
Uratile Nare said the vision of Rooted in Grace is to respond to the social and spiritual needs of the youth by providing relative programs, activities and events that allow them to build a strong foundation of faith with a mission of being the voice of the new generation to help them create a strong relationship with Christ.
