As our High Priest, He continually advocates for us before the Father, ensuring our eternal security and acceptance in His presence.
The phrase “he ever liveth to make intercession for them” emphasizes the perpetual nature of Christ’s intercessory ministry. Unlike the earthly priests who served for a limited time, Jesus holds His priesthood permanently and is able to intercede for us without interruption. His prayers on our behalf are powerful and effective, bringing comfort, strength, and grace to sustain us in our time of need.
Reflecting on this verse prompts us to take comfort in the knowledge that Jesus is actively interceding for us in heaven.
