Leaders from the Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC) in Mutare Urban District recently met with officials from the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in Mutare to discuss pressing community issues and strengthen collaboration between the Church and the Law Enforcement Agency.

During the engagement, participants addressed a range of topics, including the relationship between the Church and law enforcement, drug and substance abuse, petty corruption within the police force, and the general increase in crime in Mutare. The dialogue provided a platform for open and constructive discussions aimed at finding solutions to these pressing challenges.
The meeting also served as a crucial step in building trust between ZCC provincial leadership and security actors, forming part of the broader national dialogue at the provincial level.
By fostering communication and cooperation between religious and law enforcement entities, the ZCC aims to promote community safety and well-being while addressing the root causes of crime and social issues.
