Pastor Scott Mathews led an ordination ceremony of pastors and elders, a service full of joy and praise at Chidamoyo Mission, a service attended by community members, friends and his ministry team, a sign of church growth and acceptability in Hurungwe.
Pastors Scott Matthews is greatly appreciated as a committed cadre as the ordination signifies renewed leadership and mission expansion or church growth. Ordination of pastors and elders signify a new strength and vision being injected into the system of the church to give service without favour or discrimination.
The experience gave encouragement and fellowship as workers together in mission as they shared a great commitment and appreciation of God’s kingdom at Chidamoyo Mission. The mission centre is appreciated for spiritual and community development programmes, a clear testimony of faith in action.
Chidamoyo Mission Hospital is a referral hospital in Hurungwe District, Mashonaland West serving people who walk over 30 kilometres. It runs various community health programmes and support groups for HIV and Aids patients. The mission centre was founded by Central Christian Church in the 1960s.The institution has dwelling places, school and hospital. The church plays a critical hope of propagating the gospel of Christ and restoring dignity to many as they serve with integrity.
