Pastors, Bishops and Apostles have been advised to be strong and to continue chasing after advancing the kingdom of God and winning more souls despite the drawbacks they might face in the ministry.

This was said by Dr. Privilege Chiminya who was the guest of honor at the 14th graduation and ordination ceremony of the Liberty Bible Institute which was held at Dutch Reformed Church in Harare on Saturday, an event which saw 83 gospel ministers accorded Diplomas, Masters and Doctorates in Theology.

In his message, Dr. Chiminya challenged the graduates to be brave like lions and not to lose the heart as they were going in a field characterised with many things, some of which might be tough and painful.
“I want you to pay attention to four types of journeys that we can get in the Bible. The journey of Moses, Jesus, Paul and of Abraham. All these journeys were not easy but the great men of God pressed on. All the prominent Apostles and missionaries in the Bible including Peter went through phases which were not easy at all. Even today, all successful leaders and ministers of the gospel can tell you that they were able to register success after conquering their deep fears.
“You are starting a journey today which might be similar to those l mentioned. I am going to strengthen you saying journey forth. You are all going to have different journeys but don’t lose heart, do what your journey entails and face what is along the way. The beast that you need to conquer in your journey is fear,” said Chiminya.
Liberty Bible Institute Founder and President Apostle Luckson Chari has challenged the graduates to rightfully use the knowledge they acquired through the institution to bring light to the world and to use the skills as a tool to strongly penetrate with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“As you are going out, not everyone will be happy for you, some will start fighting you or your ministry even social media may fight you. As an equipped minister you should not respond to everything and you need to be very strong as a gospel minister.
“Also you have been equipped with knowledge, go out boldly and positively impact the world in all areas,” said Chari
Meanwhile, some of the graduates who spoke to this publication expressed great pleasure to the milestone pointing out that it meant a lot to them as it was going make their ministries firm and vibrant.
The Apostolic Christian Council of Churches (ACCZ) national chairperson Dr. Divas Chakwenya revealed that by acquiring a Doctorate, he became a fountain of knowledge and had been given dignity as a faith leader.
He further encouraged white garment churches, especially the leaders to prioritise ministerial credentials as they help them to be effective leaders in helping congregants both spiritually and in everyday living.
“I am very happy to have graduated today. It means a lot to us as church leaders, we will be able to lead our ministries in the right direction. In the Apostolic Sect many think that a calling or a gift is enough but that’s not it, a calling also need to be supplemented with education so that one becomes effective in helping members with self-sustaining ideas or with giving solutions to some life problems. I want to say learning is key,” said Chakwenya.

Pastor Margaret James from Liberty of God Ministries said “This Masters is going to improve my work. I also work as a health-care practitioner, so with this credential i see my counselling work improving since i have been fully equipped,” she said.
The Liberty Bible Institute is affiliated to other international institutions including the International Victory Bible College and Friends University in the United States.
Theology studies continue to shape the Christian fraternity as many faith leaders continue to acquire ministerial credentials.
