“Affliction shall not rise a second time,” Apostle Kashesha declared, referencing Mark 4:35-40. He emphasized that past pains and fears should not hold us back from living in the present.
Apostle Kashesha acknowledged that life is not without its storms, but encouraged the congregation to prepare and know what to do when they come. “Jesus taught what to do during storms,” he said. “He did not say ‘if’ they come, but he said ‘when’ they come, meaning they’re bound to happen.”
The sermon also touched on the importance of letting go of self-control and allowing God to lead. “You have allowed Jesus to sleep in your life because you wanted to control your life on your own,” Apostle Kashesha said. “Ask God what He wants you to do, rather than telling Him what you want to do.”
The message resonated with many in attendance, who left the service feeling encouraged and inspired to face their challenges with faith and trust in God’s control.
Pastor Everjoy Chimuringa, who testified that she has been in a similar position of fear and uncertainty.
“I’ve been in that place because of the pain I encountered before,” she shared.
“I felt the word was specifically for me because I’m always afraid of the unknown.”
