Fast emerging gospel singer, Beatrice “Mama Bee” Mambo Masawi, who gained traction in the music fraternity with her hit song “Munyaradzi Wangu” for the past few years has enlarged her scope of work into charity by assisting the homeless, the underprivileged members of the society and people with disabilities.
The assistance which is in the form of wheelchairs, money and clothing has so far been given at a small scale with her plans growing to officially register The Heavenly Echoes Charity with the official ministry in the country.

Masawi expressed that her heart was triggered by her personal life when she was growing up whereby she could lack food and clothing hence she decided out of the few that she has to relieve those in need.
“I can say giving is something that God had deposited in me, my heart bleeds to assist those in need. My childhood was a burden to me, food and clothing were a challenge and I know the pain of having a lack in life so I now try by all means to bring smiles to others through money, clothes or food sometimes.
“Recently we have been in Madziwa where we donated a wheelchair to someone with a physical challenge and soon we will be donating another wheelchair in Murewa. I believe God will provide more resources to expand and once we grow we will follow the necessary procedures to officially register our Trust. I also want to thank my husband who is also my producer for standing with me in the work including music,” said Masawi.
“I want to thank Mrs Masawi and her team for remembering our child, it was a struggle for us as a family to take care of our child, now that the wheelchair is available can be able to do some of our daily chores whilst the child is in the wheelchair or moving alone,” said one of the beneficiaries in Madziwa.

“As a child I feel relieved and my movements will be easier. I feel like I will not be a burden to my parents since I will be able to move on my own and not demand their full attention the whole day,” said another beneficiary.
Charity and giving are regarded as some of the core principles of Christianity.
