The highlight of the event was the inspiring message delivered by Chaplain Eneresi Kwenje Mandizvidza, who is not only a chaplain to the Zimbabwe Republic Police but also the wife of the visionary Apostle Canan Kwenje.
Reflecting on the journey of the church, Chaplain Eneresi Kwenje Mandizvidza expressed gratitude.
“This small journey, especially the establishment of the church, became easy because of the Lord who intervened. I’m looking forward to the Kingdom of Light Ministries going a long way in preaching the word of God.”
“At the next anniversary, we hope to double this number, ” she said.
She also shared the ministry’s plans to extend its evangelism initiatives to the Juru, Nhowe, and Rusape areas.
Apostle Gift T Matumbe, the guest speaker, delivered a powerful message drawn from the book of Isaiah 60:1, urging the congregation to arise and shine for the glory of the Lord is shining upon them.
He told people that they should desist from wrongdoings in order to see God drawing parallels to the experience of Isaiah who saw God after the death of King Uziah.
“Isaiah saw God when King Uziah died. There is something that needs to die for some people to see God.To him, it cost the death of King Uziah to see the Lord. Maybe for you, in order to see Him, unforgiveness must die, for young people, fornication must die, and whispering about other people should die.”
“If you are still sidelining your neighbour or your church mate, you have not yet seen God. When Isaiah saw God, he saw his unrighteousness. If you always see yourself as right, it shows that you have not yet seen God. When you see God, you will see that you are the one who has the problem, not those around you.”
Student pastor Joy Kakora, who leads the Madziwa Mine Assembly in a rural area, shared the positive impact of the Kingdom of Light in their community, saying.
“We got anointed with the Kingdom of Light last year between April and May. There is a great change in the community because it was a community of people who were eager and hungry for God but they didn’t know this God. When the Kingdom of Light came to Batsiranayi, it showed people the way. Today we have more than 15 people; we started as a family with one deacon.”
Meanwhile Noddy Waluza, an evangelist under the ministry, testified to the transformative journey with Apostle Kwenje.

“When we started this church with Apostle Kwenje as an interdenominational, I was the one who kept records for his prophecies. Whenever he preached, I felt something, and that is the reason why I have decided to work with him on this new church. There was a time when the man of God preached to us about having material things, and I am a testimony because I got what I was told, and today I am happily married.”
Kingdom of Light Ministries started a year ago as a interdenominational.
