The legacy of the late Faith Giant Archbishop Professor Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti who was the founder of the Zimbabwe Assemblies Of God Africa Forward In Faith Ministries International (ZAOGA FIFMI) continue to be celebrated with the recently held music concert and Ezekiel H. Guti Legacy Awards 2024 registered a massive turnout of people to celebrate and remember the late Archbishop Guti.

The colourful and historic award ceremony was held on Saturday 4 May at ZAOGA Braeside International Christian Centre during the Braeside Music concert and has seen gospel musicians such as Pastor Lavy Mlilo, Mellisa Makwasha and Pastor David Mabvuramiti awarded in different categories for their immense contributions through music in keeping the legacy of the late Faith Icon alive.
South Africa-based renowned gospel singer Pastor Lavy Mlilo who scooped two awards; the Best ZAOGA/FIFMI Gospel Artist and Best ZAOGA/FIFMI Worship Leader expressed great pleasure to the recognition while thanking all the supporters for standing with him in all his musical endeavours.
“All glory be to the God of Ezekiel for such an honour as l join the entire FIFMI family to celebrate the legacy of a legendary Apostle E.H. Guti.Thank you so much family and all the followers of Pastor Lavy music for the warm support and voting.The two awards are coming home to Mzansi.
“I couldn’t have made it without your support. May God bless you richly and meet you at the point of your needs indeed God is not a man that he should lie, he has said it and he will do it,” he said
Zimbabwe-based Mellisa Makwasha was awarded the Best ZAOGA/FIFMI Female Gospel Artist. Expressing her sentiments, Makwasha said “So this happened on Saturday, I am in awe. Thank you so much my FIF family. This is such an honor. Also Congratulations to all my fellow worshippers and artists in FIF who are working tirelessly in spreading the word of God,” she said
Meanwhile, Pastor David Mabvuramiti was also honoured with the Best ZAOGA/FIFMI song composer.
In his sentiments, Pastor Mabvuramiti said that the award gave him new strength to keep pushing and working hard.
“I felt much honoured, loved and humbled.I also realised that my efforts have been recognised.I feel encouraged to continuously work hard.
“I won some awards before but with this one it is different because we are celebrating the legacy of a great man, it is good to partake in the legacy of such a great man,” said Mabvuramiti
The Ezekiel Guti Legacy celebrations are ongoing with other activities such as Walkathon and Aerobics hosted in different regions ahead of the ZAOGA FIFMI 64th anniversary which will be celebrated on 12 May 2024.

Archbishop Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti died on 5 July 2023 at the age of 100 years and had been laid to rest at the “Miracle Mountain” in Bindura.
