This was a message by Evangelist Rosemary Magara at the Deborah Women Arise prophetic and deliverance all night prayer which was held at Queens Hotel in Harare on Friday under the theme “Handina kudhakwa ndine shungu pamoyo”,hosted by Prophetess Petty Esther Svodziwa who is the Visionary of Deborah Women Arise prayer group.
Evangelist Magara, drawing the sermon from the book of 2 Samuel 21:10, she said”As a woman you need to be firm in prayer, be a generation that trust in God, that seek God not people..
“There are issues of life that may be troubling your life which might include heartbreaks, unemployment, barrenness, unhappy marriages but as Rizpah when her child died, she waited believing that the corpse of her child deserved a decent burial, be vigilant as a woman. You deserve decent things in your life, do not undermine yourself, identify what is in you as a woman.
“Do not remain silent, stand firm and chase away vultures out of your life through prayer and petitions. Just like Rizpah have a sound mind, resist the devil, be persistent, be prayerful and do not give up,” said Magara
Prophetess Petty Esther Svodziwa whilst laying the foundation of the prophetic session strengthened women saying that prayer has always been a powerful tool to settle issues in life and to bring dry bones to life.
“As women when we pray God will hear us. We should not get tired to pray but we should have faith that God will hear us. Prayer resurrects every dead part of our lives. Also I want to encourage you that prophecy alone is not enough for you but after you have received a word of prophecy go and pray so that you secure it,” she said
Prophetess Ellen Manzvanzvike expressed the benefits of perseverance and persistence in serving God encouraging women not to be discouraged by people, disappointments or a delay in getting a response from God.
“God does not need a company or assistance. Do not be discouraged, do not give up because of pain and disappointments. Keep holding on to prayer as a woman,” she said
