Good morning and thank you for joining us today. We are so glad that you are here. Today is that we must find rest in the Lord Our God.
Let us turn to the book of Matthew 11:28-30 which says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” We all have struggles and burdens that we carry with us on a daily basis. It can be difficult to carry those burdens by ourselves. But Jesus is calling us to come to Him so that we can find rest in Him.
The rest that Jesus offers is not just physical, but more importantly it is spiritual. It is a rest that can only be found in the Lord our God. The Bible teaches us that the Lord’s yoke is easy and His burden is light.
This means that when we put our trust in Him He gives us rest and He carries our burden for us. In Psalm 55:22 it says, “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.”
We have to trust that God will take care of us and He will not let us be shaken. One way to find rest in the Lord our God is to surrender all of our worries, fears, and anxieties to Him. This can be difficult for us because we want to control our own lives.
But when we surrender everything to Him, He gives us peace and rest in return. We can find an example of this in the book of 1 Peter 5:7 which says, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
The Lord wants us to take a break from our daily stresses and worries and find rest in Him. The Bible tells us that He is a refuge for the weary and tired (Isaiah 35:10) and that He will give us strength when we are weary (Isaiah 40:29-31).
We can find rest in the Lord Our God when we trust Him, surrender our worries to Him, and allow Him to carry our burdens for us. He will give us peace and strength when we are weary and burdened. So let us come to Him today and find rest in Him.
