She also said they should not blame the economy and their husbands for their failure because no one owes you anything to stop yourself from working with your own hands.
“Be an independent woman outside the income of your husband, every girl child should own at least a car and a piece of land before getting married.
“Start your business where you are, from a single loaf of bread you can make sandwiches and sell, so with capital of as little as $10 you can start a business,” said Mwamuka.
Meanwhile Sibonokuhle Buhlungu, who is the current women’s empowerment president of Zimbabwe talked about the importance of women being involved in women’s programs organised by the government like the women’s bank (eco bank – ellevate account) in which they can network and that they should also have access to governmental loans provided for women with registered company and business plan. She also urged women to save their earnings instead of spending.
“Learn the art of saving money, not hand to mouth No matter how much you’re making,” said Buhlungu.

Speaking to ZimGospel masters, Pamela Edwards, the senior pastor from Kingdom Empowerment Center, said this event was organised because they discovered that women can achieve more as a united force of women than individuals.
This was also important for women to learn to lift each other up without deeming another’s candle.
