Salvation to the Uttermost

Hebrews 7:25 reassures us of the complete salvation available to those who come to God through Jesus Christ:

“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”

This verse reminds us of the unmatched power and efficacy of Jesus Christ as our Saviour.

He is not only able but fully capable of saving us completely, to the utmost extent, from every sin, every bondage, and every consequence of our fallen nature.

There is no depth of despair, no darkness of sin, and no pit of hopelessness from which Jesus cannot rescue us.

Furthermore, the assurance of salvation to the utmost is grounded in the ongoing intercession of Jesus Christ on our behalf.

Unlike earthly priests whose intercession is limited by time and mortality, Jesus, as the eternal High Priest, continually intercedes for His people before the throne of God.

His advocacy ensures that our salvation is not only secured but maintained and perfected until the day of redemption.

As we meditate on this verse, let us take comfort in the fact that our salvation is not dependent on our own efforts or merit but on the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Let us come boldly to God through Him, knowing that He is able to save us completely and eternally.

And let us find assurance in the knowledge that Jesus, who conquered sin and death, now lives to intercede for us, ensuring that nothing can separate us from the love of God.

Today, let us rejoice in the complete salvation available to us through Jesus Christ. Let us live in the freedom and victory that His sacrifice has secured for us, confident in His ability to save us to the uttermost.

And let us give thanks for His ongoing intercession on our behalf, knowing that we are forever held in the palm of His hand. Amen.
