Pasadena Tabernacle Songsters from California, under the songster leadership of Hunt held concerts in Zimbabwe and participated during a national gathering of Salvationists in Bulawayo for Self Denial Ingathering.
’’Our experience in Zimbabwe has been great. Each meeting and concerts left us rich as we experienced the power of music ministering to us. We enjoyed the rich musical talent in Zimbabwe; we are convinced that music is a universal knot of language that expresses praise, faith, hope and love ministry.’’ says Martin Hunt.
They held music concerts in Chitungwiza, Highfield and Bulawayo under the theme: The Voice of Praise. They shared stage with Zimbabwean songsters and at times making combined presentations, a sign of brotherhood of sharing the same mission and faith no matter where we come from.
Their visit had a social side as well. They also visited Bumhudzo Hospital Home in Chitungwiza and entertained the elderly. They also made a donation to Kuwadzana Primary school. In Mt Hampden
They concluded their visit to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Pasadena Tabernacle Songsters is very instrumental in Sunday worship, community as they reach out in nursing homes, parks, Christmas kettle campaigns; and in the Division as they lead worship for gatherings.
‘’We take our ministry through music as an awesome responsibility, It is due constant prayer that our words, music and witness will communicate the message of hope that is found in each new day and will bring people closer to the Lord,’’ said Martin Hunt who has led the songsters since 1999
