Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa Forward in Faith Ministries International (ZAOGA FIFMI) Senior Archbishop Professor Eunor Guti has encouraged young people to have the genuine fear of God, to respect their parents and to have right associations during this era when many young people have been trapped into worrisome immorality.
She said this at a big Sunday Service held at Borrowdale District on 10 November under the theme “Striving to be true disciples who are rooted in the doctrine of the church”.
“You are a chosen generation called and saved to show God’s greatness. You should know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. As young boys you should not be braiding your hair or those lots of jewelry, they are for women not for men. If you see others doing it do not say it’s for the current generation but you should know that you are the current generation chosen to serve God. Do not copy what they do but fear God,” said Guti.
Speaking about associations Archbishop Guti said “The bible says a bad company corrupts good morals. You should know your God given purpose and pursue it just like what our father Archbishop Ezekiel Guti did during his youth days,” she added.
Meanwhile, parents have welcomed the teaching saying that it has been timely and guiding especially in this era when young people are being carried away and being negatively affected by what they see on social media.
“Surely our young people are losing good morals because of their peers and social media. On internet our children are being exposed to a lot of bad things such as hate language and nudity so without proper guidance we will end up having a generation that is so wicked. I want to thank a teaching by Archbishop Guti for our children and I believe that a generation guided by the word of God will not fall into a pit, said,” Fellunah Moyo.
Archbishop Eunor Guti has been moving around church’s branches across the globe with teachings that are aimed at strengthening the congregation and reinforcing the doctrine of the Ministry.
