Mark 10 (KJV)

⁴⁶ And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.

⁴⁷ And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

⁴⁹ And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

In the days of Jesus Christ ,blind men or crippled people would wear a certain outfit that would make it easy for them to be identified with their conditions and they would sit close by each other.

I want you to know something, though Jesus was a healer and had the healing virtue flowing all over him yet he did not heal everyone, he would heal some and some would even be left sick.

How can the same Jesus who can heal every manner of sickness still leave others sick, others would be in the presence of a healer and yet still remain sick, crippled, blind.

According to the word of God we see an account where there was a certain man called Bartimaeus who was blind and was in the midst of blind people. Other blind people would hear rumours of how Jesus was passing by but none would call for Jesus to be healed.

They would be in the presence of grace that would end their condition but would still remain untouched and unchanged.

Today i am looking for a young man and a young lady who is like Bartimeus in refusing to be in the presence of a healer and yet remain sick. Refuse to be in the presence of Jesus and then go back home bound oppressed, unmarried, blind and financially crippled. Refuse to be in the presence of a grace that transforms and yet remain unchanged.

My brother , my sister refuse to be uniform to the status quo, refuse to live below what Christ Jesus came to do for you.Jesus came to give you life not just life but life in abundance (John 10:10).

Is sickness an abundant life? Is anti-marriage, delay, joblessness, limitation, setback, death , unending bleeding cycle, barrenness, paralysis , attacks in dreams ,abuse in dreams abundant in life? Certainly not , refuse to be silenced by those who do not understand your condition and blindness. Always remember that his thoughts for you is to prosper you and give you an expected end(Jeremiah 29:11)

Shalom and may the Holy Spirit take over your life in Jesus Christ’s name.
