Good morning! Today, we want to talk about the power of fire to cleanse us.
The Bible tells us in both the Old and New Testaments that fire can be a powerful symbol of spiritual cleansing.
In Isaiah 6:6-7, we read, “Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs. He touched my mouth with it and said, ‘Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven.’”

The fire of the Lord is a powerful symbol of purification and renewal. So today, we invite you to let the fire of the Lord cleanse you.
Three practical steps to let the fire of the Lord cleanse us.
First, let us acknowledge our sins and confess them before God.
The Bible tells us in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We must take responsibility for our sins and be willing to admit them to God.
Second, let us accept God’s grace and forgiveness.
In John 8:11, Jesus says, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” Jesus offers us grace and mercy—even when we don’t deserve it.
We must accept His forgiveness and be willing to move forward in a new direction. Finally, let us commit to following God’s will for our lives.
In Micah 6:8, we read, “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
We must commit to following God’s will for our lives and trust that He will direct our paths. Let us allow the fire of the Lord to purify our hearts and minds today.
Let us be cleansed by the power of God’s grace and forgiveness. Let us accept His mercy and commit to walking humbly with Him.
May God bless each of us as we seek Him.
