Bishop Dr. Aderino Nyabanga, founder of Daybreak International Ministries has said increased opposition, delays, and criticism faced by pastors and leaders are often evidence of a significant divine assignment rather than signs of failure.
In a teaching titled “Signs you are carrying a calling that attracts spiritual attacks”, Bishop Nyabanga cited 1 Corinthians 16:9, “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries,” to argue that biblical figures including Moses, David, Nehemiah, Jesus and Paul all faced major opposition tied to their assignments.
“Satan does not waste resources attacking empty vessels. He targets individuals, pastors, ministries, churches, families, and leaders who possess the potential to advance God’s Kingdom,” Nyabanga said in the written message.
He outlined some of the indicators which he said they accompany a genuine calling which include: unusual opposition without a clear reason, repeated cycles of delay and setbacks, being misunderstood despite clear intentions, carrying burdens others do not feel, intense discouragement before breakthrough, Internal pressure that cannot be fully explained and persistence in purpose despite attacks.
“Spiritual attacks are not always evidence of failure. Frequently, they are evidence of significance,” Nyabanga stated. He added that trials refine character before God releases greater authority.
