Good morning everyone! We hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas season Merry Christmas. Today, we want to talk to you about the joy of the Christmas season.
The prophet Isaiah said in Isaiah 9:6, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
This verse reminds us of the joy of Christmas. The joy of Christmas is not just found in the decorations, the parties, and the presents. It is found in the celebration of the birth of Jesus.
Yo Ho Ho, Merry Christmas!
Today, we want to talk to you about three key ideas that will help you understand the joy of Christmas. The first key idea is that Jesus was born to bring peace to the world.
The Bible tells us that Jesus came to bring peace between God and humanity. We see this in Isaiah 9:6, where it says that Jesus was given the title “Prince of Peace.” Jesus brings peace not only to our relationship with God but also to our relationships with other people.
When we accept Jesus into our lives, we find peace and joy. The second key idea is that Jesus was born to bring joy to our lives. The Bible tells us that Jesus came to bring joy to our lives.
We see this in Luke 2:10-11 where the angels say “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
Jesus brings us joy in our lives because he brings us hope and a new life. He brings us joy in knowing that we can have a relationship with God and live a life of purpose and meaning. The third key idea is that Jesus was born to bring hope to our lives.
The Bible tells us that Jesus came to bring hope to our lives. We see this in Romans 15:13 when it says “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Jesus brings us hope because he gives us a future full of promise and possibility. He gives us hope that no matter what struggles we face, we can overcome them through his strength and power.
Yo Ho Ho, Merry Christmas! As we celebrate the birth of Jesus this season, we can find joy in knowing that he came to bring peace, joy, and hope into our lives. May you have a wonderful and blessed Christmas season!
