The indigenous company’s Tynwald Milling Complex houses a Maize, Wheat, and Stockfeed Milling Plant, with impressive capacities – the Maize Milling Plant boasting 500MT per day and the Wheat Milling Plant 200MT per day.

This notable investment catapults Champion Foods (Pvt) Limited into the ranks of the country’s top millers, standing as the third largest after industry giants National Foods and Blue Ribbon Foods.

President Mnangagwa emphasised the significance of agriculture in driving sustainable economic development, citing its direct and indirect impact on over 70% of livelihoods in Zimbabwe.

“As the engine for Zimbabwe’s sustainable economic development, agriculture presents immense potential to propel our economy forward,” remarked President Mnangagwa during his address at the inauguration ceremony.

He urged communities, young people, and entrepreneurs to seize the opportunities offered by critical services such as manufacturing, financing, insurance, and logistics, all deeply intertwined with the agricultural sector.

Highlighting the role of private sector initiatives like Champion Foods in fueling economic growth, President Mnangagwa underscored his government’s commitment to fostering stronger and more productive communities.

“Through initiatives such as this one, my Government is ensuring the building of stronger and productive communities, which guarantees that we lift many of our people out of poverty into prosperity,” he affirmed.
