Zimbabwean gospel musician and worship leader Everton Mlalazi has added another academic feather to his cap, graduating with a Master of Philosophy in Evidence Management from the Gordon Institute of Business Science.
The milestone marks his third master’s degree, following an MBA from the University of Gloucestershire and a Master of Arts in Development Studies from Midlands State University.
Announcing the achievement on his official social media platform, Mlalazi described it as another important milestone.
“This is another important milestone in my academic journey and attributed the success to God’s grace. The latest qualification is also a stepping stone toward my next goal, pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA).”
Beyond academia, Mlalazi has already been honoured with an Honorary Doctorate in Music, a recognition he says continually reminds him that his music ministry is “a calling to serve God and His people.”
Despite the academic accolades, the award-winning artist stressed that his core mission remains unchanged.
“With all these God-given achievements, I remain committed to serving the Lord through worship and music ministry for as long as I live. Every platform and every opportunity I receive will always be used to glorify Him,” he said.
Mlalazi also paid tribute to his support system, thanking his wife, family and friends for their “prayers, encouragement and unwavering support throughout this journey.”
He closed with a reflection from Luke 12:48: _“To whom much is given, much will be required.”
The musician known for songs like MuGomo and Mukudzei Jehova, continues to balance his ministry with personal development, setting an example of lifelong learning within Zimbabwe’s faith community.
