Forty souls were won for God’s kingdom during the Heavenly Elect Saints Ambassadors (HESA) Ebenezer all-night prayer which was held in Crowborough Phase 2, Harare on 21 February 2025, themed “Ebenezer the trusted rock”, a service attended by hundreds of people from across the city of Harare and has been a roadmap to the church’s 2000 souls target for 2025.
HESA Visionary Apostle Rodney Gabriel Rupiya emphasized the significance of people discovering the need of Jesus Christ in their lives. He encouraged them to desist from believing in idols like fear and doubt because these keep God’s blessing away.
“It so happened in 1 Samuel 7 when the children of Israel got under a siege of Philistines. They felt it was the end of life and everything else, but the servant of God, Samuel continued to pray and consulted the Lord on what they could do. God encouraged them with a promise of victory over their enemies. Samuel the prophet had asked for people to repent and surrender all other idol gods.
“Most of the times we are holding back the hand of God to manifest in our lives because we have doubts, fears, superstitious beliefs on idols, hope in people and charms. All these become an obstruction to the manifestation of God’s power in our lives if we do not repent and surrender all anti-God and anti-purity items,” said Rupiya.
He added that in order for God to intervene, people should solely depend on God. Adam could not create a helper for himself but God did.
“In life we have so many things we wonder how possible they will be yet answers are within us, the problem is that we are not willing to sleep the God’s sleep so that God can be able to work out answers for us.
“The deep sleep of God today simply means dying in our capacity and giving in full life to God, letting God becoming your watch, sight and the driver of life. So, it is with us that we should come to surrender our lives to Christ, let him work out solutions to our troubles,” he added.
One of the attendees, who shared an experience about the all-night prayer said, “I was happy to be part of the great movement which believes in prayer and the word of God. Spending the whole night in prayer means elevation in life. I was uplifted by the teachings by Apostle Rupiya, I felt renewed and my spirit has been taken to another level,” he said.
Since May 2019, when HESA was established, hundreds of souls have been transformed through the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ, life-changing teachings and empowerment programmes for men, youths, women and girls.
HESA is a pentecostal Bible believing church which is led by Apostle Rodney Gabriel Rupiya and Pastor Tanaka Mwamuka.
