Good morning and welcome to our morning devotion! Always know and remember that it is not our fault and we can trust in God.
To begin, let us turn to Isaiah 43:2 which says “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”
From this scripture, we can understand that God is with us in our times of distress and struggle. No matter how tough things get, it is not our fault, and we can trust in God. We will now look at three key ideas to expand on this idea.
The first key idea is that we don’t have to carry the burden of our struggles alone.
God is always with us, ready to help us bear the load of our struggles. In Psalm 55:22 it says “Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.”
God will never abandon us in our times of need. He gives us the strength to carry on and trust in Him.
The second key idea is that it’s okay to ask for help.
We can be tempted to try and shoulder all of our burdens ourselves, but we should remember that it’s okay to ask for help.
In 1 Peter 5:7 it says “Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” God understands that we can’t do everything ourselves, so He provides us with the opportunity to ask for help.
The third key idea is that God’s plans are bigger than ours.
We may not understand why certain things happen in our lives, but we must remember that God has a plan.
In Jeremiah 29:11 it says “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” God’s plans are always greater than our own. He has something special for us if we just trust in Him.
In conclusion, it’s not our fault and we can trust in God. No matter how tough things get, God is always with us. He gives us the strength to carry on and never abandons us in our times of need. We don’t have to shoulder all of our burdens alone; we can ask for help and remember that God’s plans are bigger than ours.
