Psalm 37:5 “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this:” In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
My brothers and sisters in Christ, today we ask you to consider the power of surrendering our lives to the Lord.
No matter what situation we are in, no matter the troubles we face, we must always remember to lay it all unto God and worship Him.
The psalmist says in Psalm 37:5, “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this.” We serve a God who is faithful and true, and if we commit our lives to Him by faith, He will take care of us and guide us.
Our first key idea is that faith is the key to laying it all unto God.
Hebrews 11:6 says, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”
We must have faith in order to surrender our lives to God. We must trust Him and His timing. We must have faith that He will take care of us and make us stronger.
Our second key idea is that we must lay our burdens down at the feet of Jesus.
We are sinners who are weighed down by our sins and our struggles. But Jesus is faithful and He is our redeemer.
As Philippians 4:6-7 states, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
When we lay our burdens down at the feet of Jesus, He will give us the peace and strength that we need to keep going.
Our third key idea is that we must worship God in all things.
Romans 12:1-2 tells us, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
When we worship God in all things, we are honoring Him with our lives. We are showing Him that we trust Him and believe in His plan for us.
In conclusion, I encourage you to lay it all unto God and worship Him with every part of your life. Let us commit our ways to Him, trust in Him, lay our burdens down at His feet, and worship Him in all things.
Let us have faith that He will take care of us and make us stronger.
