Initially releasing the first album in the land of South Africa, Matilda Domeke a gospel musician who is the leader of Arena of Praise Band has brought the ball back home to Zimbabwe and successfully launched her second revival album entitled “Zvevana vaMwari” at a colourful ceremony which took place at Master Jesus Touch Embassy in Epworth on Saturday,3 August.

Sharing expressions about the new album,Domeke said “I find peace in preaching the word of God through music so the album is rich In words that bring hope,that give encouragement to someone who has been going through harsh phases of life.The songs on this album carry the message that also helps people to focus on God no matter the situation.
“This album comes with a lot of improvements and new tastes since I also featured experienced gospel musicians who include Trymore Bande and Penia Ganda and I am very confident that it will go far and have a better reception, “she said
Meanwhile, sharing her thoughts about the music industry as an upcoming female musician,Domeke revealed that the industry Is not easy while expressing the need for one to be committed and remain resilient as a way to success and growth.
She further encouraged other upcoming female musicians to keep working hard since music is like seeding which will yield results and fruits after a process of watering and pruning.
“I have learnt that the music industry is not easy so for you to be heard you have to work very hard and have to be vigilant.One need patience and commitment since sometimes it may take time for a project to be completed.Music need financial backup to record and to promote the music when it is released.
“I want to encourage my fellow upcoming artists to keep working hard even when the chips are down,they should keep pressing on hard towards their goal one day they will reap the fruits.Just as you plant seeds you should wait patiently for God to water the seeds and make them grow so is with music.Music is like investment.Also as a musician you also need to build a strong fan base,those people who support your music,”she added
Matilda Domeke after she was inspired by Fungisai Zvakavapano Mashavave and Rumbie Zvirikuzhe released her first seven-track album in 2017 titled Nyasha,followed by two singles in 2019,one single of 2022 titled “Mukombe wechizoro” and latest one of 2024 which consists of six tracks namely “Zvevana vaMwari”,”Vehukama”,”Ndazouya”,”Regai zvikurirane”,and “Nyasha”.

Domeke was born and grew up in Masvingo where she attended both Primary and Secondary education.She is a Christian and serves under Master Jesus Touch Embassy.
