The gospel music genre needs genuine people full of faith, hoping that one day a breakthrough is coming, and Pastor Trymore Bande is a very good example, said Apostle Brighton Songore, the guest of honor after the successful launching of Bande’s 12th album “Kahore” in Harare over the weekend.
During his address the guest of honor purchased the 12-track album for USD 500 said this industry music has got its unique from other genres, people take it for granted, so it is crucial to know the reason why you are singing and working for.
“gospel genres is different from other genres; some individuals consider it for granted. It is important to have the understandings why you are singing. “I saw the perseverance in Pastor Trymore Bande as he called to minister through music. He released his first project in 2005 and kept the album until 2008 when he started to be recognized. This is the true definition of hope,” noted the official broadcasters ZimGospel Masters.
“To venture into the music doesn’t mean that he was jobless or he had nothing to do. The salesman left all his business things and decided to fulfill God’s call of ministering the gospel through music.”
“If you venture into this ministry for silly reasons, you are likely to quit and do something else,” he said.
Honourable Kudakwashe Mupamhanga, the Deputy Minister of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training, who was also a guest of honor, spoke on behalf of his senior Honourable Minister Tinomuda Machakaire acknowledging Bande’s gift of spreading the gospel through music.
“It is God’s creative way of giving a nice voice to sing, but what I like about this talent is that you have decided to bring it back to the giver, singing and praising Him.”
“As leaders of young people here in Zimbabwe, we want all music genres, but we respect this genre which sings and respects God. We are together with you, Pastor Bande. Thank you for preaching the word of peace, love, and harmony in our mother’s land,” said Hon Mupamhanga.
Up and coming artists attended the red carpet event to support their brother, many attributing the impact of Bande’s music to their careers. Among them were Ziggie The Crusader, who warmed the event with his energetic dancing moves, Minister Joseph, Junior Bande, Mr. Favour VeFlambo, Pastor Wenyasha Vengere and Followers of Christ.

Renowned music legends, including Pastor Leonard Zhakata, who was admired by Bande when he was still young, Bethany Pasinawako Ngolomi and her husband, the producer of the album, Agatha Murudzwa, Vabati VaJehovha and the Kubata Kwashe Choral Group from Mhondoro, were also present.
Comedian Chihwa Cheguhune, known as “Amaikuru,” drove all the way from Mutare to witness the event.
Pastor Bande acknowledged all the people who came to support and celebrate this milestone, including his manager Mr. Munei Nyoni, church mates and their leader, Apostle P Marozva, who showed a lot of support to him.
“Not thanking everyone who came to support this cause is a misnomer and ungrateful deeds. I just want to thank everyone who made this day easier, including our guests, ministers and manager.”
Bande was born and bred in Honde Valley, Manicaland Province, where he completed his primary and secondary education before starting his music career in 2005.
Members of the white garment Apostolic sect were also in attendance, including the renowned Madzibaba Masango, among others.
