Writing on his social wall,Minister Mahendere said that Baba Harare’s transition might see him losing sponsorship, airplay and some support while encouraging him to remain steadfast and firm to his calling.
“What an amazing transformational path that my brother Baba Harare has taken, congratulations my brother and thank you for using your gift to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. Although this journey may be a lonely one, it’s more important to listen to God’s voice than people’s voices.
“Remember what we shared that the moment you are doing something for Christ, you have invited serious spiritual battles and resistance from the devil in this world, it’s not easy to spread the gospel. Get ready for the fact that the music airplay you used to have from all radio stations might change to only Sunday airplay, the sponsorships you used to receive may likely change to none.We sometimes do not have favour with most corporates because it is gospel music.
“When you host an event, it matters who’s covering you and you receive all the support mostly from your house of faith because Christians don’t quickly attend, Christians don’t believe in investing in entertainment because they think it’s worldly, that’s why they are the most stressed people. My Brother remain steadfast and believe in yourself even as you believe in God and in the calling that you have received,” said Mahendere
Meanwhile, speaking recently in Chegutu at a Methodist Church in Zimbabwe gathering Baba Harare has expressed his full commitment to praising God,serving him and advancing the gospel through music.
“I am now singing songs of praising and worshipping God.My name has not yet changed but if God says I should change the name, definitely I will,” he said
Sharing his expressions during the transition phase, Baba Harare said he has been facing judgement and different reception from others while revealing that love should be the core value of the community set up.
“I learnt that we should not judge others so that we will not be judged. In my journey so far I have encountered people who see the speck in a neighbour’s eye not seeing a log in their eyes. God is the embodiment of love, let us love regardless of how people sin,” he added
Baba Harare recently launched a nine-track gospel album titled “Repentance” on which he featured Minister Takesure Zamar Ncube on a track titled “Sukai”.
Some of the tracks on his recently released album include Makanaka”, “Famba neni”, “He loves you”, “Patinofamba”,“Jesu idombo rekare”, “Ndoteura”, “Hossana” and “I run to you”.
