The club’s commitment to Munetsi’s philanthropic efforts demonstrates synergy between athletic excellence and social responsibility.

Munetsi, a pivotal figure in Stade de Reims’ midfield, has been relentless in his mission to improve the lives of underprivileged children through his foundation, Marshall Munetsi Foundation based in Harare Mabvuku.

The foundation has been instrumental in paying school fees and providing essential tools for students to pursue their studies, while also equipping young talents in sports with the necessary resources.

Munetsi revealed that 20% of his salary is dedicated to his charitable cause, reinforcing his personal investment in making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need. His selfless dedication has not gone unnoticed, as he was recognized by both his club and FIFA officials for his outstanding contributions to the underprivileged community. (The Herald).

The culmination of the season saw Stade de Reims pledge to donate €100 for every kilometre travelled by Munetsi, resulting in a substantial contribution of €30,001 to the Marshal Munetsi Foundation. This support underscores the club’s endorsement of Munetsi’s cause and its commitment to making a meaningful impact in Zimbabwe.

“Munetsi’s Reims donates €30,001 for charity in Zim. 301 km this season for Marshall Munetsi. For every kilometre travelled by the Zimbabwean midfielder, the Stade de Reims donates €100 to its foundation.”
