“Today is a sad day for me and my family. We lost a brother, Garry, and I don’t know how to feel right now. We are only comforted by the word of Jesus Christ,” he said.
The “Pindirai Mwari” (2019) hit maker was raised by pastoral parents and discovered his singing ability in church, where his music talent was honed.
Apostle Mapanzure said his brother had a pure music gift from God.
“He was so beautiful and energetic. He had a life in him. He was an amazing brother. He had a special gift from God. It is so heartbreaking. I know this from the bottom of my heart that he is in God’s hands,” he said.
“I also want to pray that all of you in pain with us today that your pain maybe healed by the word of God, that your pain might healed by the love of Jesus Christ.”
Garry died at the age of 25 and he was laid in Masvingo on Sunday.
He started his music career in late 2017 and released his first single Wapunza which as of October 2023 has been viewed over 4.3 million views on YouTube.
