The gospel music industry continues to register an improved number of female artists who are determined to see more women participating, impacting the world and have their voices heard and recognised.
A Botswana-based gospel singer Pastor Tsitsi Goba Kavhukatema has urged growing female musicians to do exploits in the industry and not to be restricted by the environment, while revealing that she had a better opportunity to evangelise the world through recorded songs, an aspect which she advised her fellow pastors.
“My encouragement to other female musicians is that, distance is not a barrier, I recorded here in Botswana but all was done in Mutare. Operating as a pastor at the same time as a singer helps in that i sing what i preach, so teachings are recorded and send to the world in form of music.

“This new album titled “Zviro zvacho ere” is the 7th project which seeks to encourage all of us that God is for us all, he answers our prayers and if we remain in prayer there is always victory,” she said
Meanwhile, Rhoda January who also released a single track stressed that it was high time that upcoming women in music must take vigorous action to chase their dreams, implement their visions and sink deep their roots in the industry while striving for excellence.
” To other female musicians my message is simple, keep chasing your dream like it’s the last bus of the night. So after releasing chart-busting single Ndovimba Nemi in 2019, I come back with a single entitled “mufudzi akanaka”.
The song is a beautiful worship offering that can make you experience the incredible move of God as you listen to it, it is about the goodness of the Lord Jesus who is the good shepherd of our lives and is always present throughout all seasons of life.
The song is already available on YouTube and I’m currently working on the video, very soon i will record a full album or EP by the grace of God,” said January.
