In response to the pressing need for environmentally conscious practices in industry, Zimbabwe is gearing up to host its first-ever Green Business Expo.
This initiative aims to promote sustainable production methods that not only protect the environment but also mitigate carbon emissions, in alignment with global efforts to combat climate change.

Nicholas Ndebele, CEO of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), confirmed the plans for the Expo, emphasizing its significance in the current climate crisis.
The event, scheduled for September of this year, will bring together industry leaders, government officials, and private sector representatives to explore innovative solutions for reducing carbon footprints and embracing clean energy systems.
“The Expo marks a crucial step towards ensuring that industry and commerce prioritize carbon emissions reduction systems,” stated Ndebele. “It’s imperative that companies adapt to clean energy practices to safeguard the well-being of future generations.”
Key features of the Expo include expert speakers discussing sustainable business strategies, as well as opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange among participants.
Discussions are underway with various stakeholders, including government bodies and the Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency, to ensure the Expo’s success in driving tangible results.
