Two Zimbabwe multi-award winning gospel artistes Dorcas Moyo and Everton Mlalazi have raised high the banner of African Gospel at the recently held CLIMA Awards which were held at Nicon Luxury Hotel Abuja in Nigeria.
The Awards took place on Saturday 5 October 2024 and have seen Everton Mlalazi honored with the Africa Best Male Artiste of the year and the Africa Gospel Music Viewers Choice and Dorcas Moyo was awarded the Africa Female Gospel Artiste of the year.
Sharing expressions after the milestone, Mlalazi said “God has taken our Ministry to Nigeria once again. Look at what God has done, congratulations Zimbabwe, congratulations team EMnation. All through your votes family. Thank you for the recognition CLIMA Awards and Magazine,” said Mlalazi.
Moyo vowed to continue ministering through music while improving her brand despite the criticism that she sometimes faces from other people.
“I am very happy. I am proud of my Zimbabwe. The journey was not easy; the road was tough. I want to thank everyone for voting, I dedicate this award to you Zimbabwe. Making noise ministering for Jesus really pays and I will not stop.
“I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who showed me love in Nigeria including government officials,” she said.
The wife of Everton Mlalazi, Gamuchirai Mlalazi also won the Africa Gospel Artiste Manager of the year award.
Other African gospel musicians who have made it include Ebuka with the Africa Gospel song of the year award and Minister GUC with Africa Worship Artiste of the year.
