This revelation comes hot on the heels of her recent release, a revitalised rendition of her classic song “Tichamuona Jesu.” The remix, featuring her church colleague and afro jazz singer Mwenje Mathole, which was accompanied by a visually captivating video that premiered two weeks ago.
Its popularity has soared, currently ranking at number 63 on the top music videos chart on YouTube.
Fungisai expressed her gratitude to her supporters.
“Thank you so much for the overwhelming support. This is just a project to take you down memory lane so you remember where we are coming from, just an interlude pointing towards where we are going. Watch out for the new album, ‘Hupenyu,’ coming soon.”
