The Zimbabwe Football Association Nomalisation Committee has announced the appointment of Simon Marange as the new head coach for the men’s U20 national team.
Marange, currently coaching at South African side Orlando Pirates’ U21 team, brings a wealth of experience in youth development to the role.

Marange will be supported by Backlyfield Chivenga, former head coach of the Aces Academy, in his new position.
The duo is set to lead the U20 team in their upcoming challenge at the four-nation tournament, which will coincide with the senior sides’ event in Malawi this month.
In a statement released by ZIFA, they expressed their satisfaction with Marange’s appointment, highlighting his successful track record in nurturing young talent.
Marange’s coaching tenure at Orlando Pirates, spanning from coaching the U17s to the reserve team, has been marked by notable achievements, including clinching the Future Champions Trophy.
ZIFA’s statement reads: “ZIFA is pleased to announce that Simon Marange has been appointed as the new Head Coach of the U20 men’s Zimbabwe national team.
He brings to Zimbabwe football his strength and experience in working with elite youth players in their professional development phase, bridging the last step into professional football.”
